Attack on Tralf - 2023.4.8

Day of show. Sometimes you wake up and know you've got a show, sometimes you don't. This day was the later. Wandering around Burlington we popped into The Bern Gallery where we ran into Paddy and chatted about the show - sounds of Disco Biscuits, Lotus (RIP Chuck Morris), LCD Soundsystem and more - we made sure to show up.

Orlando's basement shows are always fun, it's a unique space with odd sightlines and pillars everywhere, brick everywhere and a super intimate stage - it often makes for some fun shows and this was hardly an exception. The crowd was a bit sparse to start but filled in as the night rolled on with a crowd of jam fans, dancers, partiers who had no idea what was going on musically, and a few normies. Adding to the vibes, they had a night time episode of Planet Earth on a huge TV next to the stage for maximum V I B E S.

Right off the bat Joe was laying down some soaring riffs, this whole group was incredibly tight right from the start. They had a really good mix of dancy upbeat Bisco/Lotus tunes interspersed with fun LCD Soundsystem tracks (including some impressive vocals from Paddy) and some funny but well placed random songs like Let's Get Physical... all in all made for a very fun night of music. Check these guys out next time.

Standout from the show: Set 2 Orch Theme (Disco Biscuits)

Paddy Donnelly: Bass, vocals
Joe Agnello: Guitar, vocals
John Nummy: Keys
Cotter Ellis: Drums
